Busy Bee Weekend!

Friday: 

          

As I stated in my previous post.. Matt and I were able to bring home our iMac.

On friday, we had our friend Corey come over to hang out with us and to help us with a few programs on the new computer. While they were doing computer stuff.. and taking funny pictures with the "photobooth" application, I was sitting on the floor preparing my gift/card for my friend Paige's bridal shower the next day.

Her card should have only taken me about 15 minutes to make.. but because im so bad at that kind of stuff... it took me like an hour and a half. HA!

Saturday:

                Matt and i went shopping, to find my friend paige 

{I stole this from her FB page, hope she doesn't mind}

a bridal shower gift, i knew exactly what i wanted to get her, so it wasn't hard to find. 

we also gathered up some of my old clothes that i dont wear and dropped them off at "Runway Fashions"

it's a new consignment store on Riverdale road. I made $31.00!!

which was more than what i thought that i would get so i left a happy girl. 

{FYI---this is not a place i would shop, just a place i would consider taking my clothes to sell. UNLESS of course you like clothes that are covered in rhinestones...  than this is your place.}

Next we took our business to a store called "the queen bee". 

It has a tone of just random cute unique gifts. 

I was on the hunt for a birthday gift for my friend Mandie.

It was hard.. they had so many cute things.. i couldn't decide on one. 

so i got her a designer box of chocolates and a handmade lollipop. 

After we left the queen bee it just so happen that it was the Ogden Art Festival. 

{which both matt and I have decided that we like it 100 times better than the Utah Arts Festival}

So... we walked around

and you know... did the normal stuff that you do at festivals.. 

Then we went home.. I had to hurry and get ready because i needed to be at Paige's bridal shower by 6. 

After Paige's bridal shower I left and went home to pick up matt so that we could go to Mandie's birthday party. 

{which was a blast by the way}

It was at a bar called Brewski's it's on 25th street in Ogden. 

we went there because Mandie's dad is friends with a guy that was playing a live show that night.. 

and guess what kind of music it was!!

80's!!

who doesn't love 80's rock?!

It was a blast.. and i thought that the band did a really good job at portraying the 80's theme. 

Matt and i left at intermission.

Happy Birthday!!

Sunday:

              Matt and I decided that we wanted to spend our sunday together with Oden. 

So we woke up... laid around for a little while.. and then made a yummy breakfast... Well let me take that back... I forgot to mention on Saturday that we also went grocery shopping.. While grocery shopping, matt saw a container of SPAM and thought that he would like to try it.. 

With out ever eating SPAM, i -WARNED- him..

"EwWw... don't get that!!! that's nasty!!"

well... like usual... he got it.. and thought that he would try and mix it in with our breakfast.. 

BARF!!

let's just say... Matt agreed that he would never get it again!

After we ate breakfast we cleaned and picked up the house a little bit.

then we wanted to take Oden for a walk..

we got him all excited for a walk, then we step outside only to find that it's raining!! :( 

he looked so happy so we felt bad if we told him "never mind bud"

so we just decided that we would get in the car and then drive until it wasn't raining.. we would then just walk around where ever we were. 

Well matt had a good idea of visiting this thing called "the stump"

I haven't done my research on it, but basically a long time ago they found a natural well and decided to build a fake tree with water spouts coming out of it so that you can get FREE natural YUMMY water. 

this is also the place that we found out that Oden loves chasing ducks, and is not afraid of water!

After we left the well we started driving and then decided that it wasn't raining anymore so we took Oden to Beus Pond.

It wasn't as pretty as both matt and i remembered.. and Oden didn't seem too impressed either.. 

so we only took 1 trip around the pond. 

{Oden smells horrible by the way- we made him sit in the back seat... and this is the sad face that i get from him.}

After Beus Pond, we can home and ate a light snack while sitting on our back porch. 

after lunch we grabbed the local newspaper thingy... and started marking events on our calendar that we want to do this summer. 

oh boy... our calendar is FULL!

Currently, 

Matt is making me dinner. 

I ♥ our sundays together.
